CAPT Brian Davies, Director Submarine/Nuclear Officer Distribution (PERS 42) and Nuclear Propulsion Program Manager (N133).

Captain Davies was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He received his commission in 1991 from the United States Naval Academy graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Ocean Engineering.  He also holds a Master’s of Science in Acoustics from Pennsylvania State University.  His sea tours include command of USS JIMMY CARTER (SSN 23), XO on USS HOUSTON (SSN 713), Engineer on USS NEBRASKA (SSBN 739) (BLUE), and JO on USS HYMAN G. RICKOVER (SSN 709).  His shore tours include Commodore Submarine Squadron 11, Military Assistant to the Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Submarine Officer XO/Post-XO Detailer, OIC of Detachment Bangor/Squadron Engineer DEVRON FIVE, and SOAC/SOBC sub school instructor.  His holds multiple personal awards, the highest of which include the Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit Medal.
